Thermal coal from Zimbabwe
Thermal (steam) coal is our highest-volume product. We supply RB1 and RB3 equivalent grades from the Hwange and Lubu coalfields to power producers, cement kilns, sugar estates, textile plants and any operation running industrial boilers.
Every load is weighed, sampled and certified before it leaves the mine gate, and we contract the haulage ourselves so delivery dates hold.
Thermal coal grades we supply
Our standard export thermal grades sit between 5,200 and 6,200 kcal/kg gross as received. Washed sized product is available where your burner or stoker requires consistent sizing and low fines.
- —RB1 — 6,000 kcal/kg, ≤1.0% sulphur, ≤15% ash
- —RB3 — 5,500 kcal/kg, ≤1.0% sulphur, ≤20% ash
- —Washed peas (5–25 mm) and nuts (25–50 mm) — 6,200 kcal/kg
- —Duff / fines (0–5 mm) — 5,200 kcal/kg for fluidised-bed and blended use
What thermal coal is used for
Buyers use our steam coal for electricity generation, cement clinker production, lime burning, sugar refining, brick and ceramic kilns, tobacco curing, textile dyeing boilers and food processing steam.
How to buy
Send us your required calorific value, sulphur and ash ceilings, monthly tonnage, delivery point and preferred Incoterm. We return a dated price list, an indicative loading schedule and a draft supply agreement.
